Ideas in Photoshop

I love my tablet PC. In case anyone is looking to get one, mine is a Motion Computing LE1700. I just hope it stays operational for a while. My ideas this week went all over the place, but that's what summer is for! It takes patience to avoid overworking something... I think the Megatron-looking painting really illustrates this dilemma. But as a piece that started in line format, it was an exercise in relaxation as well as specificity. Either my line detail needs to get cleaner, or I render sans-line.

Been listening to "The Amenta," the album N0N. There's nothing better than Industrial Black Metal to burn "Call Me Maybe" out of my short-term memory.

I wonder, how much longer 'till I run out of coffee money...

Paints from my coffee trips!

I'm in the habit now of starting projects during my coffee breaks and spare time, and subsequently developing them more at home. My inspirations are H.R. Giger, Gottfried Helnwein, tattoo artists and any music or game art that I grab on to. Since listening to death metal albums and industrial/trance records from an early age, what drew me to them initially was the art. Thus I began an obsession with illustration.

Modeling Portfolio

I hope to get time to pursue more 3D work, it's a pleasure to use Maya/ZBrush.

Final Character Design

Hi everybody! As part of a class project, I created a character to fit in an existing film, but this guy, dubbed "Olgreg," took on a life of his own. He was greatly inspired by the art of Pascal Blanche, Bernard Bittler, and Tarik Hamedine for the film Kaena: The Prophecy. I got rid of that nasty background and set him up to stand on his own, so I hope to get some criticism tomorrow in class.

Environ and character

Finally, I remembered to update this thing! Both of these pieces are concepts for film, the assignments being to illustrate something that did not appear in a feature. Back to work now!
